Sept 14, Friday

Sept 14th was my first day at the lab.

I met Janyn there who helped me with the start up kit and completed the following tasks.

* Created wikidot page and tagged up with dDNA page.
* Hooked up with the dDNA google group to share certain documents and the calendar.
* Mailed my time-table to Janyn for finalising the date for the weekly meeting.
* Janyn explained elaborately on changing the colour of a red cabbage leaf by altering the pH in it. All we had to do was to change the number of hydrogen ion concentration in the leaf. It could also be done with the help of electrons alternatively by introducing electrodes in a glass box with the cabbage leaf in it and hence, controlling the electron flow and charge concentration.
* Filled in the time-sheet and submitted it.

Sept 27, Thursday

Today, all my project mates and I had a meeting with Roger to discuss the progress of the project. We were each assigned a job to do. I was asked to prepare a graph showing the pH of the red cabbage leaf versus the end color of the leaf in basic, acidic and neutral media.
